The Atlanta Hawks lead the Chicago Bulls, 72-71, after three quarters, but it was not easy for them to do so. Zaza Pachulia was fouled as the clock hit zero and went to the line for two free throws. After sinking both, Pachulia had the Hawks back in the lead by one.

Derrick Rose showed up for eight points in the third quarter after having just five in the first half. After scoring 17 points in the first half, Luol Deng added just two points for 19 in the game. But Carlos Boozer now had 10 points and eight rebounds in the game.
The Bulls started the quarter out strong and held a six-point lead at one point. Joe Johnson led the Hawks with 11 points in the third quarter with 24 for the game. Off the bench, Jamal Crawford has added 11 points.
