On Friday night in Atlanta, Derrick Rose is playing at full speed. Through three quarters, Rose has scored 34 points and added six assists. As a consequence, the Bulls lead the Hawks in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference semifinals, 80-63.

Rose has taken over a third of all the Bulls’ shots on Friday night, having drained 13 of 23. Joakim Noah has also come up big, grabbing 11 rebounds -- seven on the offensive glass -- and recording three assists and two blocks. Through three quarters, the Bulls shot an even 50 percent from the field.
The Hawks keep getting out-rebounded, but the occasional big shot has at least kept the game from devolving into an uncontested rout. Jeff Teague leads Atlanta with 19 points and Josh Smith has 14 with 10 rebounds, but center Al Horford has simply been dominated by Noah.
