Rick Carlisle's Mavericks just swept the two-time defending NBA champions. So he's entitled to do things like wonder about whether Phil Jackson will come back by implying that Jackson will get tired of smoking peyote in Montana before long.

↵To Jackson’s credit, when asked about Carlisle’s comments in his press conference, he handled it with relative grace:
↵“First of all, you don’t smoke peyote. That’s one thing you don’t do.”↵Jackson also repeatedly dodged questions about whether this was definitively his last game on the sideline. This was his 20th NBA season as a head coach, and his 20th trip to the NBA playoffs. If he retires after this season, he does so with 11 NBA championships, an NBA record.
