VIDEO: LeBron James, Dwyane Wade Mocking Dirk Nowitzki’s Illness?

It's a credit to LeBron James' sparkling public personality that this video of him and Dwyane Wade pretending to cough and wheeze while walking through a hallway is being universally taken as a mockery of Dirk Nowitzki, who played Game 4 with a 100-degree fever. Watch for yourself from the one-minute mark on:

I don’t know, man. Seems more like they’re making fun of the media for making so much of Nowitzki’s story, which is only sort of different than making fun of Dirk himself. I don’t remember Nowitzki asking for his sickness to be a story, though of course it is.

Or maybe Wade’s just the only guy who gets to be hurt all the time.

Still, at best this was a pretty dumb thing to do, especially considering how much time James has spent downplaying derision and smartassery by Mavericks players.
