Grizzlies Vs. Warriors: Memphis’ Huge Comeback Earns 91-90 Win

The Memphis Grizzlies rallied from a 20-point deficit in the third quarter against the Golden State Warriors on Monday, and came away with a 91-90 victory in Oakland.

The Grizzlies trailed 63-43 with 2:53 remaining in the third quarter, and exploded in the fourth period for 39 points — no more from any one player than Mike Conley's nine — to take down a Warriors team that went cold late. Memphis ripped off a 28-7 run over the last eight minutes of the quarter to rebound from a 78-61 deficit in the fourth quarter, and led 89-85 with seven seconds to go before a Brandon Rush tip-in and a Monta Ellis three cut the final margin to a single point.

All of Memphis' starters scored in double figures except for Marreese Speights, and Rudy Gay led all scorers with 23 points. Conley added 20 points and had nine assists, while Marc Gasol chipped in a 15-point, 11-rebound double-double.

Ellis led the Warriors with 20 points, and Stephen Curry had 18 points, but the two guards combined for 12 turnovers, half of Golden State's 24 on the night.
