The Phoenix Suns are off to a pretty rock start so far this season, but they have a chance to redeem themselves on national television Friday night. The one-loss Portland Trail Blazers won't be an easy out, but it's likely anything can happen in this truncated NBA season.
Blazers Vs. Suns: LaMarcus Aldridge Looks To Keep Momentum Alive
LaMarcus Aldridge and the Portland Trail Blazers will look to continue their hot start as they play the Phoenix Suns on ESPN. Aldridge recorded his first double-double of the season on Thursday as the Blazers improved to 5-1.
The Suns have won just two of their first six games as the aging team sort of struggled out of the gate, but the NBA season is more of a sprint than a marathon so there's no need to panic quite yet. The Suns defense has been solid to start the season as four of their first six opponents have failed to score 100 points, but the offense hasn't quite caught up -- something that could change if newly-signed Michael Redd is able to return to form.
The Blazers improved to 5-1 on Thursday night with a nationally televised victory over the Los Angeles Lakers. The most surprising statistic to come out of the second game of the TNT doubleheader was that big man LaMarcus Aldridge recorded just his first double-double of the season with 28 points and 10 rebounds.
The game is scheduled for a 10:30 p.m. ET tip-off on ESPN and should be worth watching for everyone interested in winding down their Friday night with a good ol’ fashioned NBA game.
