Isiah Thomas' age-old practice of talking to the New York Knicks through the media (wink, wink) continued on Thursday, when, in a radio interview, he criticized the team's decision to give defensive anchor Tyson Chandler a four-year, $58 million contract. His logic now is that the money would have been better spent upgrading the backcourt.

Funny you should say that, Isiah, when you said something else when you were actually the Knicks' GM. Via an excerpt from Bill Simmons' "The Book Of Basketball," during which Thomas explained trading for Zach Randolph in 2008 despite also having Eddy Curry:
