Stephen Curry Injury Keeps Guard Out As Warriors Visit Lakers

Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry will miss Friday night's game against the Los Angeles Lakers, dealing with an ankle injury. Curry originally injured his ankle against the Chicago Bulls back in December when he came down awkwardly on Kyle Korver's foot. He's since re-sprained his foot a few times, including Wednesday against the San Antonio Spurs. The plan is to have Curry sit out Friday's matchup with the Lakers and have him re-evaluated on Saturday.

“Stephen performs functional tests well. He is taped, wears an ankle brace and has a different shoe. For no lack of effort on anyone’s behalf, the problem has continued. At this point, Stephen will continue to receive treatment and rehabilitation and his status is day-to-day. He will be evaluated by Dr. McAdams prior to our game in Oakland on Saturday, when we hope to determine the best way to proceed,” Warriors general manager Larry Riley said in a statement issued on Thursday.
