Toronto Raptors point guard Kyle Lowry debuted on Wednesday after rehabbing a strained left adductor muscle injury

    Kyle Lowry to make Raptors debut on Wednesday

    The veteran guard is eager to join his new team. Said Lowry: “It’s been frustrating. I wanted to be out there with my teammates. They were giving it their all and I just wanted to be out there with them.”

    Prior to joining the Raptors in the offseason, Lowry spent four seasons in Houston and three in Memphis. He sports career averages of 10.4 points and 4.8 assists per game.

    Over 47 games during the lockout-shortened season, Lowry averaged 14.3 points and 6.6 assists per game while shooting 41 percent from the field. There’s no timetable for the 26-year-old’s return at this point, so Calderon will return to his role as the team’s primary playmaker.
