Kyle Lowry injury update: Raptors’ guard to debut vs. Wizards Wednesday

Point guard Kyle Lowry will make his Raptors debut on Wednesday when Toronto hosts the Washington Wizards. Lowry has been out since the first week of training camp with a groin injury.

The veteran guard is eager to join his new team. Said Lowry: “It’s been frustrating. I wanted to be out there with my teammates. They were giving it their all and I just wanted to be out there with them.”

Coach Dwane Casey doesn't expect Lowry to have any difficulties adjusting to his new teammates. Casey told reporters,

“He’s a student of the game. He’s probably one of the smartest players we have so he won’t miss anything intellectually. The only thing he will probably be a little behind in is his aerobic conditioning.”

Prior to joining the Raptors in the offseason, Lowry spent four seasons in Houston and three in Memphis. He sports career averages of 10.4 points and 4.8 assists per game.
