Agents of the Big Three must love and hate the San Antonio Spurs. On the one hand, everything is pretty easy. When free agency arrives, the stars sign big ol' contracts and go about winning 50 games or so a season. On the other hand, San Antonio has brainwashed these stars into undercutting themselves well in advance of free agency. The latest example is Manu Ginobili, from the ace Mike Monroe of the San Antonio Express-News.
Manu Ginobili undercuts his own 2013 free agency
Manu Ginobili will be a free agent in 2013 in a technical sense only.

Saying that he plays for the love of the game, Ginobili asserted that being in the final season of a three-year, $38.8 million contract won’t change his approach this season.
“I don’t even think like this,” he said. “I don’t care. If it’s for a lot of money, a huge amount of money, I don’t care. I’m fine with what I’ve earned in my career. That is not a point of emphasis this year. I just want to play well and help my team make it as far as last year.”
R.C. Buford is drawing up the veteran’s minimum contract right now.
