Dirk Nowitzki gets to play in front of home country fans with Dallas Mavericks Saturday.


The Mavs take on the Alba Berlin club team at 2 p.m. Saturday. Alba features three American players in DaShaun Wood (Wright State), Zach Morley (Wisconsin) and Deon Thompson (North Carolina). The Mavericks will debut their new-look squad that includes additions Elton Brand, O.J. Mayo and Darren Collison. Another offseason addition, Chris Kaman, who also played for the German national team after discovering his German roots, is questionable to play after injuring his lower back in practice this week.
The game will be televised on KTXA in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area.
Other games on the schedule Saturday include the Memphis Grizzlies hosting Real Madrid at 8 p.m. Memphis has Spain's Marc Gasol on its roster.
The San Antonio Spurs host Montepaschi Siena at 8:30 p.m. and the Los Angeles Clippers host the Denver Nuggets at 10:30 p.m.
