They are 5-0 but facing a tough stretch of games that could see them 5-3 before the weekend is out. Still, NBA bettors are watching how the point spread shapes up for the New York Knicks Thursday and beyond.

They’ll look to continue that winning streak over three games in four nights when they play San Antonio on Thursday night, Memphis on Friday night, and Indiana on Sunday afternoon.
Here’s a look at that Sunday afternoon game as well as some of the other big games leading up to it this weekend and the NBA odds situation generally.
Phoenix Suns at Los Angeles Lakers (Friday, 10:30 PM ET)
New Los Angeles Lakers head coach Mike D’Antoni was set to meet with the team for the first time on Wednesday and to be in the arena on Friday night when the Lakers host the Suns; the team that D’Antoni made a name for himself coaching from 2003 to 2008.
The Lakers are 3-2 SU and ATS over their last three games since starting the season off 0-3 SU and ATS.
Phoenix was 3-1 SU and 2-2 ATS over its last four games heading into Wednesday’s action since starting the season off 1-3 SU and 0-4 ATS. The Lakers are 9-1 SU and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games against the Suns at Staples Center. Phoenix is just 1-5 SU and ATS in its last five road games.
Denver Nuggets at San Antonio Spurs (Saturday, 8:30 PM ET)
San Antonio escaped its four-game road trip with just one loss, moving the Spurs’ record to 7-1 SU and 5-2-1 ATS this season. Heading into Thursday’s game against the New York Knicks, the Spurs are 22-2 SU and 19-3-2 ATS over their last 24 home games.
Denver (4-4 SU and 5-3 ATS this season) is one of the few teams that has enjoyed ATS success in San Antonio in recent seasons. The Nuggets are 4-4 SU and 7-1 ATS in their last eight trips to San Antonio including an outright upset as a 7-point underdog in their last meeting in March.
17 of the last 20 meetings between these two teams in San Antonio have gone UNDER the total on the basketball odds menus at most sportsbooks.
Indiana Pacers at New York Knicks (Sunday, 12:00 PM ET)
Fueled by Carmelo Anthony and not missing a beat with an injury to Amar’e Stoudemire, the New York Knicks are off to a perfect 5-0 start both SU and ATS. Anthony entered Wednesday’s action as the NBA’s top scorer with 26.8 points per game.
New York has been dominant at home recently with a 17-3 SU and ATS record over its last 20 home games. Indiana got off to a 3-5 SU and ATS start to the season heading into its road game against Milwaukee on Wednesday night.
The Pacers are 8-2 ATS over their last 10 road games against the Knicks (6-4 SU over that stretch) but are just 1-3 SU and 2-2 ATS in their last four meetings in New York
