Jazz vs. 76ers final score: Philly earns 99-93 victory on Friday

The Philadelphia 76ers earned a 99-93 victory over the Utah Jazz on Friday.

The Philadelphia 76ers got off to a fast start on Friday against the Utah Jazz, but faltered in the middle quarters and had to fight off a tie in the fourth to come out with the win. They were able to though, and came out with a 99-93 victory, improving to 5-4 and 2-3 at home.

Philly took the first quarter by a score of 30-20, but they were outscored in quarters two and three. In the fourth, they came out just under Utah, with a 29-28 mark in favor of the Jazz in that frame. That first quarter was the one that sealed the deal and get the victory. The end of the game featured the drawn out process of fouling and attempting to recover the ball, and it was almost spoiled by a bad pass from Evan Turner, which led to a Gordon Hayward layup.

Jason Richardson and Jrue Holiday both had big days for the 76ers, with the former putting up 20 points with eight rebounds and the latter putting up a team-high 26 points of his own. Four other players had double digits: Thaddeus Young, Evan Turner, Lavoy Allen, and Nick Young.

The 76ers will next take on the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday, while the Jazz will play the Washington Wizards on Saturday.
