Miami Heat forward Shane Battier is expected to miss the next few games because of a mild sprain on his knee, according to an interview by Joseph Goodman with forward LeBron James. Battier injured his knee in Saturday's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers when forward Udonis Haslem was knocked back into Battier, who fell to the ground clutching his knee.

Battier has started all 13 games for the Heat this season, averaging seven points and 2.5 rebounds per game. Battier has also been shooting well from 3-point range, hitting 45.8 percent of his 3-point shots. While he has averaged 5.2 shot attempts per game, 4.5 of those shots have been from beyond the arc.

As for who will replace Battier during his recovery, Rashard Lewis does sound like the most logical choice, but he has fallen out of favor with the team and is not currently in the rotation. Haslem may move into Battier's position even though he doesn't space the floor the same way as Battier.
