Gerald Wallace, Kevin Garnett fined for Nets-Celtics brawl

Gerald Wallace and Kevin Garnett were fined for their roles in the Nets-Celtics fight on Wednesday

The punishments for the Nets-Celtics brawl on Wednesday evening have been announced, and no Brooklyn players will be suspended as a result of the fight. Gerald Wallace was fined $35,000 for his role in the fight, and he's the only Nets' player that was punished.

Celtics' guard Rajon Rondo was suspended two games for his role in the melee; he was the only player on either side to be suspended. The NBA was expected to fine several Celtics players, but so far, Kevin Garnett has been the only Boston player fined -- $25,000 for escalating.

Wallace has been in trouble with the NBA already this week, as he was warned for flopping after the Nets defeated the Knicks on Monday night. He was not fined for the flop, but after receiving a warning, he'll be fined $5,000 if he does it again.

The Nets will next be in action on Friday, Nov. 30 when they meet the Orlando Magic. The Celtics will next take the court the same night when they take on the Portland Trailblazers.
