Kyle Lowry injury update: Raptors’ PG out Wednesday vs. Mavericks

Toronto Raptors point guard Kyle Lowry will not dress for the team's Wednesday night game against the Dallas Mavericks after spraining his ankle on Tuesday, the team announced. Lowry will sit out and receive additional treatment for the time being, the team said.

On Tuesday night, Lowry had to be helped off the court in the first half of Toronto's 108-88 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder. He left the arena with a walking boot on his right foot, leaving some worried that he would be sidelined for a while, although it appears he's essentially day-to-day at this point.

Since being acquired from the Houston Rockets during the offseason, Lowry has proven to be an excellent addition to Toronto's roster. In the first three games of the season, he averaged 23.3 points per game, 7.0 assists per game and 3.7 steals per game, looking the part of a great all-around point guard.
