Thomas Robinson on elbow incident: ‘I was wrong’

Thomas Robinson spoke to the media following practice on Thursday and admitted to being wrong for elbowing Jonas Jerebko on Wednesday.

Sacramento Kings rookie forward Thomas Robinson said he wrong and 100 percent at fault for the incident on Wednesday which resulted in the NBA suspending him for two games.

Robinson was ejected and received a Flagrant Foul 2 during the fourth quarter on Wednesday for elbowing Pistons forward Jonas Jerebko in the throat. After practice on Thursday, Robinson said he has to be smarter in his decisions and would change it if he could. He said it was the first time he's ever had an incident like this in his basketball career.

"I've never been ejected from a game or anything of that sort of matter," Robinson said, according to Jason Jones. "I definitely take full responsibility and I apologize to the whole organization, the fans and everybody who supports me. It won't happen again."

Robinson said Jerebko got under his skin, but refused to fault the Pistons' forward. Instead, Robinson said that trash talking is part of the game and he has to adjust and not let it get to him. Robinson, who said he has to live with the incident and try to move on, will sit out the Kings' next two games against the San Antonio Spurs and Los Angeles Lakers.
