Dion Waiters is questionable when the Cleveland Cavaliers play at 9 p.m. at the Phoenix Suns on Friday.
Dion Waiters injury: Cavs guard questionable with thigh bruise
Dion Waiters is the latest injury for a depleted Cleveland squad.

Waiters is hampered by a thigh bruise that he reportedly couldn’t put any weight on Wednesday after a loss to Golden State on Wednesday, according to the Akron Beacon Journal.
Anderson Varejao, Kyrie Irving and C.J. Miles have all missed practices this week with injuries. Tyler Zeller is not with the team on its current road trip after fracturing his cheekbone against the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday. Coach Byron Scott told the Beacon Journal that Zeller could return to the lineup as soon as Friday or Monday.
With the players banged up on Cleveland’s current road trip, Scott hosted an extended film study on Thursday to help prepare the team defensively. The Cavs have been one of the league’s worst defensive units, allowing a league-worst 51 percent opponents’ field goal percentage.
“I don’t think any of us want to be the worst defensive team in the league,” Scott told the Beacon Journal. “We’ve got too much talent for that.”
