Warriors vs. Heat final score: Golden State stuns Miami with under 1 second left, 97-95

The Warriors notched a massive road victory with a last-second basket to take down the Heat.

A Draymond Green layup with under a second left gave the Golden State Warriors (15-7) a 97-95 victory over the Miami Heat (14-6) on Wednesday night. With the game tied at 95, the Warriors ran a play that had Klay Thompson curling around a screen, but instead of dishing it to him, point guard Jarrett Jack found a cutting Green who scored to secure the victory for the Warriors.

Here’s video of the play, via CBS Sports.

The game was a back-and-forth affair that was within a basket either way down to the buzzer. Golden State was led by Klay Thompson, who scored 27 points on 11-of-21 shooting to go along with seven rebounds and four assists. David Lee chipped in with 22 points and 13 rebounds while Jack put up 20 points, four boards and four dimes off the bench.

The Heat, meanwhile, wasted another impressive effort from LeBron James, who scored 31 points on 12-of-23 shooting to go along with five assists and three boards. Chris Bosh put up the Heat’s lone double-double, dropping in 21 points and picking up 13 boards. Miami was let down by its designated three-point shooters, as Ray Allen and Shane Battier shot just a combined 2-of-10 from downtown.

Miami is off until Saturday night when it will host the Washington Wizards, while the Warriors will continue their tour of the East coast by jetting up the state of Florida to visit the Orlando Magic on Friday night.
