In a game that was back-and-forth throughout, the Toronto Raptors outlasted the Houston Rockets, 103-96, to pick up only their sixth win of the year, and their fifth at home.

The Toronto Raptors hung on to beat the Houston Rockets in a back-and-forth game at home, 103-96.

The two teams were tied at halftime, but a mini 9-3 spurt from the Raptors in the third quarter opened an eight-point advantage, capped by an Alan Anderson three with 1:31 remaining.
Anderson had 24 points off the bench and DeMar DeRozan had 19 to lead Toronto in scoring. Jose Calderon (18 points) and Ed Davis (13 points) also scored in double figures. Toronto lost the battle of the boards, 44-43, but made up for it by taking care of the ball. The Raptors turned it over just seven times, and had 29 assists on 39 field goals. Caldero accounted for 14 of those assists and also grabbed 10 rebounds to complete the triple-double.
James Harden had 28 points to lead the Rockets, who dropped to 11-12 with the loss. Marcus Morris helped out with 19 points of his own. Omer Asik had seven points and 13 rebounds.
Next up, the Rockets head to New York to face the Knicks Monday night at Madison Square Garden. The Raptors travel to Cleveland, where they will look to win consecutive games for the first time this season. That game will be played Tuesday night.
