LeBron James, Chris Paul named NBA Players of Week

After leading the Heat and Clippers to undefeated weeks, LeBron James and Chris Paul were named the conference players of the week in the NBA.

USA TODAY Sports

The Miami Heat and Los Angeles Clippers are among the hottest teams in the NBA right now, and the two leaders of those teams have been rewarded by the NBA for their accomplishments. LeBron James and Chris Paul were named the conference players of the week for their efforts between Dec. 17 and Dec. 23.

Paul has led the Clippers to a 13-game winning streak and a top spot in the Western Conference -- along with a top spot in plenty of NBA power rankings around the Internet, a rare spot to see the Clippers residing -- with four wins over the week. Paul's best game was his 24-point effort against the Sacramento Kings that also saw him grabbing five rebounds, five steals and 13 rebounds.

LeBron and the Heat also went undefeated during the week, going 3-0 against the Timberwolves, Mavericks and Jazz. His best performance came against Utah, when he scored 30 points and grabbed nine rebounds.
