Knicks forward Steve Novak took an elbow to the face by Metta World Peace during the Christmas Day game between the Knicks and the Los Angeles Lakers on Christmas Day. Novak, who led the NBA in three-point percentage in the 2-11-2012 season, is 1-2 with three points, but 1-1 when it comes to taking absolute shots to the chin.
Steve Novak injury: Knicks forward takes an elbow to the face
Steve Novak was clocked and went down Tuesday, courtesy of a Metta World Peace elbow.

Professional boxers don’t take shots that clean to chin most matches. Artest is commonly known as one of the strongest guys in the league, and Novak is commonly known as the 6-10 guy who you rarely see close to the basket, so... eesh. Novak looked OK on the bench, but this was a scary moment.
The Lakers have taken the lead on the Knicks in the fourth quarter, and if Novak comes back it could be a boost, but he needs to have his legs under him to give a positive contribution. Based on their wobbliness here, that likely won’t happen.
