The Portland Trail Blazers hosted the Washington Wizards on Tuesday night. Not only were the Blazers stunned by a 124-109 loss as the Wizards picked up just their third road win of the season, but they also saw a key player leave the game early with an apparent ankle injury.
LaMarcus Aldridge Suffers Left Ankle Sprain
The Portland Trail Blazers were handed an upset loss by the Washington Wizards on Tuesday night. To add injury to insult, Portland star LaMarcus Aldridge left the game with a left ankle sprain.

Ben Golliver at Blazer's Edge relays the information that forward LaMarcus Aldridge left the game at 10:08 in the fourth quarter, when he was undercut by Trevor Booker while going up for a jumper. Aldridge stayed down, looking to be in a lot of pain, but was able to walk off the court on his own.
Aldridge had his ankle X-rayed shortly after leaving the court. The X-rays came back negative, but it was announced that the Portland star had suffered a left ankle sprain and would not return to the game.
Aldridge has been a key component of the Trail Blazers offense this season, averaging 23.3 points and 8.6 rebounds per game. He was recently named to his first All-Star Game, so hopefully he will be able to return to action in time to appear in Orlando on Feb. 26.
