Dirk Nowitzki, as we all know, isn't like most athletes. Most athletes -- and most human beings that accomplish anything in their lives, really -- have a place in their house where they keep all their trophies, awards and other honors safe. Nowitzki has a different approach. Via Ian Thomsen:

Where does he keep his championship ring?
“I want to find a good spot,” he said. “But for now it’s still sitting in the box right there that we got it in. I haven’t hung it up anywhere. I haven’t really found a good place. I don’t want to hang it upstairs where I never go. I want to find a place where I make sure I walk by every day. So for now it’s just sitting in the kitchen.”
Word of advice to Dirk: don’t let the ring get caught up between piles of old mail.
