Spencer Hawes Injury: 76ers’ Center To Miss At Least Two More Weeks, According To Report
Philadelphia 76ers’ center Spencer Hawes will miss at least two more weeks with an achilles injury, according to a report.
Hawes, who has missed 20 games this season and 19 of the last 20 with a strained left Achilles’ tendon, will have the walking boot on his left foot but at the urging of his California specialist, Dr. Richard Ferkel, will not play for at least another two weeks from this Friday, according to the Sixers.
Hawes was having a breakout year prior to the injury, averaging 10.5 points and 8.3 rebounds with a PER of 20.5. Rookies Nikola Vucevic and LaVoy Allen will need to continue to pick up the slack for the 76ers as they make their push towards the playoffs.
