As if things couldn't get any worse for the 3-20 Charlotte Bobcats, leading scorer Gerald Henderson is expected to miss 2-4 weeks with a hamstring injury, according to Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer. Henderson suffered the injury in Wednesday's blowout loss to the Portland Trail Blazers.
Gerald Henderson Injury: Charlotte Bobcats’ Guard To Miss 2-4 Weeks With Hamstring Injury
Gerald Henderson, the Charlotte Bobcats’ leading scorer, is expected to miss 2-4 weeks with a hamstring injury.
Henderson has missed some time this year with a back injury, but this appears to be unrelated. The third-year shooting guard is averaging 15 points and 4.4 rebounds per game on 46 percent shooting, showing the growth of his game.
The Bobcats' hopes of turning their season around look pretty dim, as they have been hit hard by injuries in general. In addition to Henderson, starting point guard D.J. Augustin is out with a toe injury, and small forward Corey Maggette has not played in nearly a month. Those are currently their three leading scorers.
