That's one reason you'll hear Sessions' name a lot in trade talks, as evidenced by recent rumors of the Los Angeles Lakers and New York Knicks inquiring about his services. The Cavs want a first-round pick in exchange for Sessions.
Sessions is expected to opt out of the final year of his contract this summer, which would have paid him $4.6 million, Finnan reports. He’s currently averaging nine points and 4.9 assists per game in 22.6 minutes per game. He is also just 25 years old and has been a starter before, so team starving for guard help could certainly use him.
