Kyle Lowry Injury: Rockets Point Guard Hurts Elbow
Kyle Lowry was forced out of the Houston Rockets’ game against the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday, but the point guard’s comments make the injury sound minor.
“I tried to throw a pass to Jordan (Hill) on a cut. I kind of hyper-extended it, strained it a bit. I just have to do treatment. You know me. I don’t want to sit out too many games. I don’t want to sit out games at all. I’ll see how I feel tomorrow and get treatment in the morning and see how it feels.”
Houston struggled for most of the third quarter without Lowry, but played better in the fourth quarter to hold on to their win. Goran Dragic looked like a capable backup for Lowry during that fourth quarter, but the Rockets will still seriously miss their starter if he misses any time. Their next three games are all on the road, and their next home game is against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
