JaVale McGee appears to be available in a trade from the Washington Wizards. Of all of the players to potentially be traded in virtual fire sales at the 2012 NBA Trade Deadline, he might be the most talented. But he's enough of a ... character that Washington appears willing to hand him away for only a small price. From Marc Stein via Bullets Forever:

[S]ources say the Wiz are now weighing whether it’s time to finally surrender McGee -- who for all his potential still routinely finds himself at the heart of Washington’s ongoing turbulence -- on the condition that his new team take [Andray] Blatche as well.
McGee is a restricted free agent in July, and a prime candidate for the Spencer Hawes Memorial one-year qualifying offer, provided that McGee’s agent and the market agree. (They probably do not.) Blatche is a huge problem contract, though, due $23.4 million over the next three seasons. That’s borderline untouchable, especially because teams cannot use the amnesty clause on players who were not on their roster on June 30, 2011.
The Wizards may be able to get a team to send a pick or a prospect to Washington for McGee, but the center is damaged enough despite his production that taking on a landfill contract like Blatche is just too much to bear.
