The Los Angeles Clippers have been looking for a shooting guard after Chauncey Billups' season-ending injury, and one name on their radar is Jamal Crawford of the Portland Trail Blazers. The Clippers and Blazers have discussed a deal that would send Crawford to Los Angeles for Eric Bledsoe and Ryan Gomes, according to CBS Sports' Ken Berger.

It’s unclear if Crawford would start or come off the bench if this trade is consummated. The former Sixth Man of the Year- award winner signed in Portland last winter after signing a two-year contract with a player option for the second year. He is averaging 14.3 points per game while shifting between the shooting guard and point guard positions.
If the Clippers make the trade, they will have three guards -- Crawford, Randy Foye and Mo Williams -- who have similar games. However, they had a similar dynamic when Billups was healthy, and they were successful because of it. The Blazers, meanwhile, would get assets back for a player that may exercise his opt-out and leave anyway.
