Andrew Bogut isn't making an impact on the court due to a fractured ankle. But his name is becoming more active in NBA trade rumors as the Thursday deadline approaches. CBS Sports' Ken Berger reports that the Golden State Warriors and Houston Rockets are both in play for the Australian center, who in 2005 was the No. 1 pick in the draft.
Rockets, Warriors Attempting To Trade For Andrew Bogut, According To Report
The Warriors would deal Monta Ellis to the Orlando Magic in a deal for Bogut, according to Berger. One can only assume Stephen Jackson, Milwaukee's problem contract right now, would also move to the Magic -- he and Dwight Howard have expressed mutual appreciation recently. Milwaukee would likely get a prospect from Golden State and a fat contract from Orlando to make up for Jackson. Such a deal would depend on Howard sticking with Orlando through the deadline, of course.
Berger reports that a Rockets deal would be more straightforward, with Houston landing the center in exchange for Samuel Dalembert, Courtney Lee and picks.
