NBA Rumors: J.J. Hickson To Sign With Golden State Warriors

J.J. Hickson didn't have the most wonderful career with the Sacramento Kings, but he's set for a new beginning following the agreement of a contract buyout on Monday. That new beginning will reportedly come with the Golden State Warriors.

Hickson will still have to clear waivers, but assuming nobody wants to pay him the prorated amount of roughly $2.5 million for the remainder of the season, CSN’s Matt Steinmetz is reporting that the Warriors plan to sign him.

The Warriors are likely to sign power forward J.J. Hickson if and when he clears waivers, according to league sources.

The Warriors have room on their roster to accommodate Hickson's signing without having to waive a player. Hickson will likely get minutes at power forward behind starter David Lee.

Hickson will add to a front line that's already a bit clogged in Golden State, considering rookies Jeremy Tyler and Chris Wright are both still trying to work themselves into the rotation.
