NBA Trade Rumors 2012: Andrew Bogut Available, Washington Wizards Among Interested Teams

The Milwaukee Bucks, who have a lot of money committed to a mediocre team long term, have reportedly decided not to consider center Andrew Bogut an untouchable player anymore. Bogut, the highest-paid player on the team, is open to a new situation, and the Bucks are open to finding one for him, according to ESPN's Marc Stein.

However, Stein reports that the Bucks are asking teams to also take on forward Stephen Jackson, who has one year and $10 million left on his contract after this year and has not been happy with his experience in Milwaukee. Stein reports that most teams are not interested in doing that at this time. Bogut has injury issues — he is currently out with a fractured ankle and has not been the same player since an elbow injury in 2010.

The Washington Wizards have expressed the "strongest" interest, Stein reports. As Bullets Forever notes, a straight-up swap of Rashard Lewis for both Bogut and Jackson would be a legal trade. The Wizards have young center JaVale McGee, but he is a restricted free agent this summer and due for a big payday.
