Jeremy Lin Worries Knicks Fans

The New York Knicks were blessed with the emergence of Jeremy Lin out of nowhere earlier this year but, like everything else, good things must come to an end. It's an unfortunate end for Lin and the Knicks this season, however, as the star point guard is likely out for the remainder of the season.

Lin tore his meniscus in March, news that most people likely are aware of by now. There’s not a lot more to say about the injury, but Posting and Toasting’s Seth Rosenthal summed it up from the perspective of Knicks fans.

Man, I hate injuries so much. As you've probably heard, Jeremy Lin's injury turned out to be a torn meniscus in his left knee. After a few days to deliberate -- hence the media silence, I suppose -- Lin and the Knicks determined surgery to be the best course of action.

First off, best of luck to Lin in recovery. This sucks a lot, and it leaves the Knicks with some problems to solve in the backcourt. Mike Woodson and Glen Grunwald have Baron Davis (who is injured), Mike Bibby, Toney Douglas, and sometimes Iman Shumpert available, and perhaps some possibility of making a small move.

We'll see.

With Davis playing hurt and Lin injured, there really aren’t a lot of options in the backcourt for Knicks fans. The rookie Shumpert has shown flashes of both good and bad this season, too -- with the bad likely being the more worrying part when it comes to the hopes of fans in New York.
