Billy Hunter To Call For NBA Players Association Reps To Oust Derek Fisher As President, According To Report

The dispute between NBA Players Association executive director Billy Hunter and president Derek Fisher continues to get uglier. Earlier Friday, Fisher issued a memo saying he would not resign, even though the executive board voted 8-0 to ask him to do so. Now, Hunter is considering another course of action to remove Fisher from his position.

It remains unclear whether the player representatives actually have the authority to vote Fisher out of office, but Hunter is still going to pursue this route.

The dispute between Fisher and Hunter began in the final days of the NBA lockout and boiled over again once Fisher called for an internal audit into Hunter’s business practices. Hunter has been rallying support against Fisher ever since.
