Andrew Bynum Sits With Injury, Reportedly Fined By Lakers

Andrew Bynum has a sprained ankle, and is not playing for the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday night against the New Jersey Nets. The Lakers confirmed via Twitter before the game that Bynum would be sitting out and that Josh McRoberts would start in his place. Even though the team didn't previously believe Bynum would miss any time, it's not much of a story that he's sitting out for a game against the Nets with a sprained ankle. The story is that, in addition to not playing on Tuesday, he might have been fined.

According to ESPN Los Angeles, Bynum was fined for "numerous infractions," which included blowing off a meeting with general manager Mitch Kupchak. Lakers head coach Mike Brown has refused to confirm or deny that Bynum was fined by the team.
