The Charlotte Bobcats were visiting the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday night when one of their players suffered an immediate and horrifying injury.

Power forward Eduardo Najera had not yet played two minutes in the game when he suffered a fractured skull. A defender came down under the basket with a short elbow to Najera's head, according to David Walker of Rufus on Fire:

B.J. Evans, vice president of Bobcats communications, reported that Najera was immediately taken to a Milwaukee area hospital.

Najera, who was born in Meoqui, Mexico, has averaged 2.8 points per game and 2.4 rebounds per game for the Bobcats in the lockout-shortened 2011-12 NBA season.
