Eduardo Najera Injury Video: Fractured Skull Suffered Following Sharp Elbow

Eduardo Najera was taken to the hospital on Friday night after reportedly suffering a fractured skull during the second quarter of the Charlotte Bobcats matchup with the Milwaukee Bucks. The injury occurred under the basket, as Najera was battling for a rebound. A stray elbow struck him in the forehead, and doctors on scene diagnosed him with a fracture.

The video isn’t actually graphic and it’s tough to tell how what seemed like a minor elbow resulted in a fractured forehead. There’s no blood, though it does appear Najera’s forehead immediately bruises, and the elbow isn’t as vicious as one would assume.

Najera doesn’t really react to the elbow, only grabbing his forehead after the play ends. Shortly thereafter, the video shows him walking over to the bench, and his forehead appears to be turning purple from bruising.

Hopefully he’s all right after suffering what certainly sounds like a scary injury.
