A Manila media report this week claimed that Filipino tycoon Manuel V. Pangilinan (known as MVP) will meet with David Stern to discuss a potential deal to buy the Sacramento Kings. The Maloofs, who own the team, have repeatedly said they are not interested in selling. And furthermore, the NBA on Saturday said that there is no meeting between Stern and Pangilinan set.
