Blake Griffin missed the Olympics after tearing his meniscus, but he’s reportedly back to full strength before training camp.

The recovery time for Griffin was estimated at eight weeks after problems first arose when the forward said he had discomfort in his knee. He underwent surgery on July 16.

Due to Griffin’s past injury issues, the doctors and Griffin have been cautious about the process in getting him back on the floor.

“Upon arrival in Los Angeles, Griffin will undergo an MRI and be examined by the Clippers’ medical staff. On Sunday, he will also be examined by Dr. Neal ElAttrache of the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic,” the team said in a statement. “An announcement concerning their joint conclusion and a further course of action will be made available by the Clippers, as soon as possible after that.”
