The reigning NBA champion Miami Heat and L.A. Clippers will travel to China during preseason to play two exhibition games in Beijing and Shanghai, reports Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel. The NBA has had international preseason sessions in the past and will hold exhibitions in Europe and Canada this fall. But China is seen as both the most prestigious and exhausting of the assignments given the travel and crushing crowds expected to descend on the NBA teams sent there.
Heat, Clippers To Play 2 Preseason Games In China
The Heat and Clippers will play preseason games in Beijing and Shanghai, according to a report.


LeBron James and Dwyane Wade are, of course, massively popular in China, having won gold with Team USA in 2008 in Beijing. Blake Griffin and Chris Paul are also likely to meet some adoring fans in Beijing and Shanghai.
WInderman reports that the Beijing game is scheduled for Oct. 11 and the Shanghai game is scheduled for Oct. 14. James and Paul are currently preparing for the 2012 London Olympics. That basketball tournament will be begin on July 29 and wrap up on Aug. 12.
