Kris Humphries has a new contract with the Brooklyn Nets, and it's quite a hefty one. From Marc Stein of ESPN:
Kris Humphries Signs 2-Year, $24 Million Contract With Nets, According To Report
The Brooklyn Nets made sure big man Kris Humphries will stay around by inking him to a contract worth $12 million a year.

Humphries isn’t a bad player by anybody’s standards: the established rebounder had the best year of his career, averaging a legitimate double-double, 13.8 and 11 and displaying more consistency than OBLIGATORY JOKE ABOUT HIS SHORT MARRIAGE TO KIM KARDASHIAN. But $12 million a year seems a little steep.
Humphries and Brook Lopez were the two keys to the three-team trade with Orlando and Cleveland that fell apart as the Nets tried to land Dwight Howard. When that fell through, Brooklyn re-upped Lopez with a max contract, and now they've hit Humphries with $24 million over two years -- meaning the Nets are under contract to pay the two bigs a combined $85 million. Humphries and Lopez isn't a perfect consolation prize for missing out on Howard, but the Nets could've done worse than those two, Deron Williams, Joe Johnson, and Gerald Wallace.
