Rudy Fernandez didn't have as memorable of a career in America as he probably would have liked and, after four seasons, he's decided to take his talents back to Spain. It's not exactly news that he wasn't always happy with his time in the NBA, but not many expected him to give up on playing in America this soon, either.

Denver Nuggets wing Rudy Fernandez has decided to take his talents back to Spain following a lackluster four-year career in the NBA.
The Spanish guard did exactly that, however, and announced on Tuesday that he was going to head back over to Europe. Yahoo!‘s Eric Freeman has a bit more background on the story.
By one point of view, what Rudy Fernandez announced via Twitter (in Spanish only) on Tuesday afternoon is an admission of defeat. After four seasons with the Portland Trail Blazers and Denver Nuggets, Fernandez will return to Spain to play for Real Madrid (his temporary employer during the 2011 lockout). It's a three-year contract, which will put Fernandez at 30 years old when it ends. Barring a drastic change, Fernandez will probably never play in the NBA again.
It’s sad to see his American career end without ever really getting started, really, but it’s good for Fernandez that he’s able to head back to Europe after never really seeming truly happy to play in the NBA.
