Veteran guard-forward Terrence Williams has agreed to a training camp contract with the Detroit Pistons, according to Yahoo Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski.
Terrence Williams Headed To Pistons Training Camp
It's a minimum, non-guaranteed deal. Williams will report to Detroit's training camp beginning Oct. 1. Williams, a Louisville product, was the 11th overall pick by the New Jersey Nets in the 2009 NBA Draft.
Williams averaged 8.4 points a game during his rookie season with the New Jersey Nets, but was traded to Houston after playing in just 11 games, and there he reportedly broke team rules. He was demoted to the D-League that season, and posted statements on Twitter the organization didn’t appreciate, according to a report.
He split time between Houston and Sacramento in 2011, averaging 7.1 points per game in 18.3 minutes between the two clubs.
