The wait is over. Amar’e Stoudemire will be returning to the New York Knicks’ lineup on January 1, Yahoo! Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski is reporting.
Amar’e Stoudemire will make Knicks’ season debut on Tuesday, according to report
After missing over two months of action, Knicks forward Amar’e Stoudemire will reportedly make his season debut Tuesday when the Trail Blazers visit Madison Square Garden (7:30 p.m. ET).

Wojnarowski was told that Stoudemire will make his season debut by coming off the bench against the visiting Portland Trail Blazers (7:30 p.m. ET on MSG). The 30-year-old forward has missed the first two months of the season with a knee injury that required surgery during training camp.
Without Stoudemire, the Knicks have raced out to a 21-9 league record, a much better performance than expected. However, they’re coming off a West Coast road trip that featured them losing two of three games.
How Stoudemire fits in with the current edition of the Knicks is a big question mark. New York is a half-game behind the Miami Heat for the league's best record in the East Conference.
Yet, his return could come at a solid time, as Carmelo Anthony is questionable to start Tuesday because of a hyper-extended knee.
