Knicks vs. Pacers final score: Paul George leads Indiana over New York 81-76

Paul George scored 17 of his 24 points in the second half as the Indiana Pacers extended their winning streak to three games with an 81-76 win over the New York Knicks.

The Indiana Pacers used an 13-0 run in the fourth quarter to take down the New York Knicks 81-76. The Pacers held the Knicks scoreless for over seven minutes of the fourth quarter.

Indiana took a 39-34 lead into the half as both teams grinded it out against one another in the first half. The Knicks came back with a strong third quarter and took a 60-58 lead heading to the fourth. However, Indiana outscored New York 23-16 over the final 12 minutes to seal the win.

Paul George did a little bit of everything for the Pacers scoring 17 of his 24 points in the second half. George also finished with 11 rebounds, five assists and a career-high six steals. Ian Mahinmi stepped up with Roy Hibbert slowed due to back spasms and pitched in 13 points off the bench.

New York clearly missed the scoring punch of leading scorer Carmelo Anthony who was suspended by the NBA for his post-game actions on Monday against the Boston Celtics. J.R. Smith did his best to keep the Knicks in the game scoring a game-high 25 points but was just 10-29 from the field. Tyson Chandler recorded a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds but no other New York player reached double figures.

The Pacers came into the game with the second-best scoring defense in the NBA and held the Knicks to 35 percent shooting and 4-20 shooting from beyond-the-arc.
