Cavaliers vs. Lakers final score: Los Angeles ends skid with 113-93 rout of Cleveland

The Lakers got Dwight Howard back from injury and ended their six-game losing streak with a demolition of the Cavaliers.

Dwight Howard returned from injury and helped the Los Angeles Lakers end a six-game losing streak in a 113-93 beatdown of the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday night at the Staples Center.

Howard, who had missed the Lakers' previous three games with a shoulder injury, had 22 points and 14 rebounds on 9-of-11 shooting in the victory. Kobe Bryant led six Lakers in double figures with 23 points on 9-of-14 shooting. Antawn Jamison posted his second straight double-digit scoring game with 16 points off the bench. Los Angeles (16-21) shot a scorching 58.0 percent from the field and knocked down 13-of-25 from three-point range.

The Lakers dominated this one from the start, jumping out to a 37-20 lead after the first quarter. The Cavs (9-30) did trim the deficit to 12 by halftime and 10 early in the third quarter, but they would not get any closer the rest of the game.

Kyrie Irving and Dion Waiters both scored 15 points in the loss for Cleveland. Alonzo Gee added 14 points and Tristan Thompson had 10. The Cavs shot 41.1 percent overall and just 19.0 percent from long range.
