Avery Bradley injury: Celtics guard questionable after rib injury

Bradley’s return from off-season shoulder surgery has helped spark a resurgence in Boston, but he may be headed back to the disabled list.

While Avery Bradley hasn't accumulated eye-popping statistics in his first eight games, his aggressive perimeter defense has helped the Celtics get out to a 6-2 record after a disappointing start to the season.

However, it appears that injuries may once again keep the talented third-year guard out of the lineup, as he’s questionable for Boston’s game against the Bulls on Friday after suffering a rib injury in a loss to the Hornets.

Bradley has dealt with a number of ailments since entering the NBA out of Texas in 2010, including an ankle surgery that ended his rookie season as well as numerous shoulder injuries over the last two years. He missed the first 30 games of this season after undergoing surgery to both shoulders in the offseason.

When he is on the floor, his athleticism is a huge bonus for a Boston team without much perimeter speed or shot-blocking outside of Kevin Garnett, not a combination that's going to result in much defense being played.
