The Minnesota Timberwolves have coach Rick Adelman back on the sideline after he missed 11 games to spend time with his ill wife.

Sources told the AP that Adelman returned to the team Monday morning before a practice, and he's expected to coach Wednesday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers if his wife is OK.
Adelman's first missed game was a Jan. 8 win against the Atlanta Hawks, but the Timberwolves have only won one game since. At 2-9 under acting head coach Terry Porter, the Timberwolves have struggled since Adelman left, but that record is also a result of forward Kevin Love's broken hand keeping him out of action. Minnesota has also seen point guard Ricky Rubio, who is still recovering from a torn ACL, question one fourth-quarter benching by Porter.
Adelman’s wife, Mary Kay, has been hospitalized with an undisclosed problem, according to the AP. The head coach has met once with the team since he’s been away.
The Timberwolves are 17-24 on the season.
